Alexandre Rojey is Director Sustainable Development. He is coordinating IFP activities in Sustainable Development: prevention and remediation of pollution from the oil & gas industry and from automotive transportation, use of biofuels and other alternative fuels, long term energy supply, issues related to global climate change including CO2 capture and sequestration.

Previously he was in charge of natural gas activities and has initiated new developments in the area of gas treatment, liquefaction and chemical conversion.

Alexandre Rojey is also Chairman of CEDIGAZ, an international association in the area of natural gas with more than 190 company members and chairman of the ECRIN Club "Alternative energies" for the promotion of links between research and industry.

He has contributed to various publications (over 70) and holds worldwide patents (over 100). He graduated from Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 1966 and received a MSc degree from Imperial College (London) in 1967.
